The Mexico-United States Border War Zone
Today thousands of people continue to carry drugs in their vehicles from Tijuana to the United States Many of these people know what they are doing. The majority, though, have been duped in some way. They may be told that their contraband is marijuana, only to find out that it is in fact methamphetamine, cocaine, or heroin, Or they believe they are only carrying a kilogram or two find out that their load is one or two hundred kilograms. Tijuana /San Ysidro is one war zone. The majority of the drug cases that I and my Chief Associate Attorney Ryan T. The war zone has been pushed East. Now every night in down town Calexico one can watch while individuals form Mexicali lob drugs by sling shot or simply throw them in packages over the fence. And the drug smugglers and “polleros” (people smugglers) wage a never ending war of cutting holes in the border fence with acetylene torches.
The bottom line is as long as there is a supply for illegal drugs and individuals who wish to risk their lives and come to the United States illegally, their will be a demand for this product. Both Ryan and I have handled many cases from Tijuana and San Ysidro and made many a trip to the Imperial County Jail after hours to help those who have made a big mistake in their life or been duped by the rapacious drug organizations.
